The movie focuses on two British born Punjabi boys who visit Punjab for the first time. Their initial culture shock is soon dispelled when they quickly adopt to the local Punjabi customs.
Unable to find a girlfriend of their choice in London, they soon fall in love with the newly acquainted girls in the village. In no time the lads win over the hearts of the villagers in this romantic comedy.
Young Bollywood actor, Jimmy Shergill plays the lead in this movie as a British born lad with spiked hair and English accent.
Neeru Bajwa plays the female lead. She was last seen in the movies, Dil Apna Punjabi as well as Asa Nu Maan Watna Da.
Munde UK De has been directed by the great Manmohan Singh who has worked as a cinematographer for many Bollywood films including Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai and Mohabbatien.
Punjabi movies to his credit include Mitti Waajan Mardi, Dil Apna Punjabi, Asa Nu Maan Watna Da, Jee Aayan Nu and of course Yaaran Naal Baharaan.
Munde UK De is releasing in UK cinemas this May 2009.
