Tony (Bobby Deol) is an orphan who has seen the worse of life.

He has grown up on the streets. This has made him into a stronger person.

After a hard day's work, Tony treats himself to a musical stage show currently doing its rounds in town.

But much to his surprise, he falls in love with Sapna (Priyanka Chopra), the stage singer. A rising star in the making, Sapna comes from a respectable upper class family.

She is already engaged to Arjun, a doctor by profession. But this does not deter Tony to woo his lady love.

Thinking that money could buy him status in Sapna's society, Tony accepts an assignment from one of the underworld gangsters.

He needs to get one of the Government officers to sign some important documents. For this he would be paid a large sum of money.

Soon he carries off his assignment with success but realises what he had done.

The officer turns out to be Sapna's father, Dr Khurana. By signing the paper, Khurana has allowed the release of drugs into the market which will kill hundreds of innocent lives.

Realising the consequences of his actions, Tony decides to repent for his deeds. He confronts the people behind the whole scam.

But what does fate have in store for him? Will his kismat come to his aid?

Kismat sees Bobby Deol back onto the silver screen after a break in 2003.

Beauty queen Priyanka Chopra who shared a screen presence with Preity Zinta in The Hero, Lara Dutta in Andaaz and Sameera Reddy in Plan, will play the sole heroine for the first time in Kismat.

Directed by Guddu Danoa, Kismat will see a release of 20th February 2004 in the UK.

Previewed by Manish Gajjar, 大象传媒 Shropshire's Mr Bollywood.
