Freelance reporter Liza Greig followed the rehearsals of a Scottish choir as they built up to the big day.
On Sunday 22 November, Studio 1 in 大象传媒 Broadcasting House Belfast was the setting for Northern Ireland's largest contribution to the Sing Hallelujah project. The leading Northern-Ireland based chamber choir, Melisma, formed the centre-piece of the project, with choral enthusiasts from across Northern Ireland joining them. The group sang Hallelujah to open 大象传媒 Radio Ulster's weekly classical music show - Sounds Classical.
There was a performance of the Hallelujah Chorus on the 6th Dec in Swansea to be broadcast on Christmas day on 大象传媒 Wales.
A collaboration between Bath's most famous choir master, one of the brightest talents on the Bristol music scene and the great Bristolian public. A version of the Hallelujah chorus was created that blended classical and contemporary music for all ages. Grenville Jones (Last Choir Standing) and his Golden Oldies made up the spine of the choir. The band and the choir had one day to come up with a unique interpretation of the Hallelujah chorus. Grenville Jones prepared the score and conducted. The performance took place on Sunday 6th December at the 大象传媒 West Sports Awards.
Nigel Perrin taught local boxing star Glenn Catley the Hallelujah Chorus. Glenn performed with the newly formed 大象传媒 Radio Bristol Sing Hallelujah choir to an audience of hundreds at the 大象传媒 West Sports Awards on Sunday 6th December
The Saffron Walden Choral Society held a Sing Hallelujah event which was recorded by 大象传媒 Radio Cambridgeshire. The choir taught new members the Hallelujah Chorus for a unique performance. 250 people took part and £1,500 was raised for Children in Need. You can listen to the show here.
On Thursday 3rd December 大象传媒 Radio Cornwall staged a Carol Concert at Truro Cathedral to inspire thousands of people across Cornwall to get involved by forming their own choirs in their own communities. The participants were encouraged to sing their final performances of the Hallelujah Chorus simultaneously with the Truro Cathedral carol concert performance. Schools and sports teams such as Cornish Pirates rugby team and Truro City Football Club were involved.
On 22nd December hundreds of people across the South West will be joining in an interactive, interdenominational event built around the Hallelujah chorus and celebrating Xmas. On cue choirs gathered at the Plymouth Big Screen, village halls and other venues will sing together. The interactive service will bring together small and large congregations gathered in pubs, clubs, people's homes, cafes and workplaces. It will also be up on the Big Screen and the main service will be at Plymouth Methodist Central Hall.

On 22nd November Longridge Brass Band got together with the Viva Voce choir, the folk duo 'Blackheart' and an audience of nearly 300 people to perform a unique interpretation of the Hallelujah Chorus.
On Friday 20th November 大象传媒 Leciestershire brought together 400 people to perform the Hallelujah Chorus in Leicester Cathedral as part of Children in Need day.
On Friday 4th December 大象传媒 Radio Merseyside recorded the Christmas Carol Service from Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral in partnership with seven local charities through 'The 800 Group'. The service included a performance of the Hallelujah Chorus from a newly formed community choir.
On Saturday 28th November over 100 people joined Sunday Breakfast presenter Anthony Isaacs in the Radio Nottingham Community Choir performance of the Hallelujah Chorus. This was the first ever performance of the newly-formed choir, after only two rehearsals. The choir will also sing at 大象传媒 Radio Nottingham's Carol Service and at 大象传媒 Radio Nottinghams's Big Night Out event in early December.
On Tuesday 1st December the Christ Church cathedral choir performed the Hallelujah Chorus as the finale of the 大象传媒 Oxford Celebration of Christmas concert.
On 12th December the Marches Community Choir will be performing the Hallelujah Chorus as part of their Christmas concert at St John's Church in Bishop's Castle, where the retiring collection will go to Children in Need. 大象传媒 Shropshire will follow rehearsals and the final performance.
On Sunday 13th December the 大象传媒 Tees concert at Middlesbrough Cathedral will include a performance of the Hallelujah Chorus. Led by musicians and local choirs the event will teach the 800-strong audience to sing the Chorus which will then be performed and recorded for 大象传媒 Tees.
