Sheffield
City Council approved dramatic plans to transform Sheffield Station
and Sheaf Square. |

Included
in the plans are proposals to give Sheaf Square, including Sheffield
Midland Station, a facelift that the Council hopes will make Sheffield
more welcoming to visitors.

In
June 2003, plans for St Pauls Place and Millennium Square
were unveiled - also part of the Heart of the City project.

The
focus for the Square is a water cascade and a groundbreaking sculpture
of Sheffield steel.
The
Sheaf Square roundabout will make way for a new road interchange
with pedestiran 'supercrossings'.
