Voices
is a new project dedicated to finding what makes people in our region
tick.
It's also about the 大象传媒 getting involved and lending a hand.
We're
seeking out the area's passions

Burgin (L) and Jennifer Vernon-Edwards
There
are Voices projects running all over the country - but in South
Yorkshire, journalists Margaret Burgin and Jennifer Vernon-Edwards
(pictured right) are focusing on the community around Clifton School
in Rotherham.
They've set up a remote studio in the school, enabling both students
and residents to broadcast live into programmes on 大象传媒 Radio Sheffield.
We're
running a radio club for the school's pupils
Over
the coming weeks you can meet some of the people who live and work
near the school - and get to know what makes them laugh, cry or
seethe.
You'll
be able to follow the community production of Les Miserables (and
maybe even help with the costumes).
You'll have the chance to check out the school's bold new plans
for its Middle Lane campus.

School, Middle Lane, Rotherham
And
online, you'll be able to take a multimedia
tour of the local historical hotspots.
So
keep your eye on this website to hear more about Voices, and to
get to know the people who live in Central and East Rotherham.
