Isle of Man cricketers 'raring to go' for European test
The Isle of Man's senior men's cricket side will begin their ICC World Cricket League Division Two campaign in Sweden on Wednesday.
The Manx team will take on Germany in their opening game before facing Gibraltar, Israel, Spain and the host nation in a round-robin tournament.
Captain Phil Littlejohns said the team are "well prepared and raring to go".
Following the T20 matches, the top side will gain promotion to Division One and face sides including Afghanistan.
Littlejohns added: "We obviously want to win but we are going to do our best and hopefully the hard work we have put in over winter will deliver some good results."
National coach Greg Wright selected the Manx squad of 14 players six weeks ago and said: "We've got a good blend of youth and experience amongst the squad."
The tournament will be played over three days in Stockholm.
