Glamorgan have given new contracts to left-arm spinner Prem Sisodiya and seam bowler Andy Gorvin while wicket-keeper/batter Will Smale has signed his first professional deal.

Cardiff-born Sisodiya, 25, played in all three formats during the 2023 season and has made a total of 53 first-team appearances since 2018.

Gorvin, 26, made his Glamorgan debut in 2021.

Smale, 22, was on a short-term Glamorgan contract last summer.

Sisodiya said: "It's been my club since I was a little boy and I've always grown up wanting to represent Glamorgan, so I'm grateful to have the opportunity to carry that on for another two years.

"Last season was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I was really chuffed to play my first red-ball game for a while, but would've liked to have contributed more to the T20 and 50 over competitions, especially T20 as that's been my main format over the last few years.

"I still feel I went okay when I was given the opportunity, but feel like I have a lot more to offer."

Gorvin, who came through the Cardiff Universities system, is also hoping to contribute in all three formats of the game.

"I'm looking to improve again this winter and be ready to impact games next summer," Gorvin told the club website.

"I think collectively we showed some great fight in difficult situations last year. If we can build on some of the positive performances we had during the season and become a bit more consistent, I believe we will have success.

"We have a great group of players in our squad and I can't wait to get going again."

Smale said: "Having played through the Welsh age-group pathway, it's amazing to run out at Sophia Gardens and represent Glamorgan.

"Making my debut earlier this year at the Oval against Surrey was an incredible experience and one that I hope will help me as I look to put in some meaningful performances over the next two years and beyond."

Glamorgan have re-engaged most of the domestic players who were on contract during the summer, but captain David Lloyd has departed to Derbyshire, Andrew Salter has reitred and Callum Taylor agreed an early departure.

Henry Hurle and Asa Tribe have been given rookie contracts for 2024.
