Hampshire seam bowler Chris Wood has signed a new one-year contract to stay with the county until at least the end of 2025.

Wood, 34, has played 176 T20 games for the club and taken 191 wickets, the third most of anyone to play in English T20 cricket.

The academy product has represented the county since under-13s level and came through the club's youth pathway.

"It鈥檚 been a hell of a ride up to now - one I have loved," said Wood.

"I can鈥檛 wait to see what the team can achieve next season - hopefully we can get back to challenging for more trophies."

Wood becomes the latest Hampshire player to sign a new deal this week after wicketkeeper Ben Brown, all-rounder Felix Organ and batter Joe Weatherley.

"Chris continues to perform at a high standard and remains at the heart of our T20 unit," said Giles White, director of cricket.

"He works incredibly hard, has come through the system and has a lot to offer the environment. We are delighted he will a part of the plans in 2025."
