Glamorgan seam bowler Harry Podmore is to retire from professional cricket at the end of the season aged 30.

Podmore has only featured in one first-team game in 2024, a Championship match against Northants in June.

He made his debut for his home county of Middlesex in 2014 and later became a regular pick at Kent.

The London-born bowler signed for Glamorgan for the 2023 season, but could not repeat his success at his previous counties.

He had picked up winners’ medals as part of successful squads in Championship, T20 and One Day Cup cricket.

He also had loan time at Derbyshire and made a total of 109 appearances across the three formats of county cricket in his career, taking 222 wickets.

Podmore has been playing club cricket in London and is not expected to play for Glamorgan again.
