Jersey aiming to host 2025 ICC Challenge League event
Jersey head coach Paul Hutchison hopes the island can host the 2025 ICC Challenge League A tournament.
Jersey are currently joint-top of the group with a game to go in the first event of the series in Kenya.
The top two sides from the six-team tournament will move on to the next round of qualifying for the 2027 Cricket World Cup.
Each nation faces each other in a round robin format every 12 months over a three-year period, with all sides eventually playing 15 matches.
Jersey hosted the final round of ICC Challenge League B in the summer of 2022 when the islanders won the event and progressed to the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off in Namibia.
"I think we might be having a home series next year, which would be lovely," Hutchison told 大象传媒 Radio Jersey.
"I'd really like to showcase what Jersey has to offer and the quality of cricket.
"I'd also like to show people on the island the quality of cricket that we've seen in this last week, I think it would be great for the island."
