Essex batter Charlie Allison has signed a new contract to stay with the club until the end of the 2026 season.

The 19-year-old impressed with the bat during the One-Day Cup and T20 Blast last season.

The England Under-19 international made three appearances in the 2024 50-over competition and a further seven with Essex Eagles during their T20 Blast campaign.

"It’s a really proud moment for me to sign my first full contract with Essex," Allison.

"I’ve been at this club since I was eight years old, so to be able to carry on doing it at this level means a huge amount."
