Olympic medallists Jack Laugher and Dan Goodfellow won Britain's second gold of the Diving World Cup in Tokyo with victory in the synchronised 3m springboard final.

The City of Leeds pair set a new personal best by scoring a total of 440.94 points from six routines.

Germany took silver with 433.92 and the United States bronze with 415.86.

Earlier on Sunday, Lois Toulson and Eden Cheng won synchronised 10m platform silver for Britain.

Tom Daley and Matty Lee claimed gold in the synchronised 10m platform on Saturday, Britain's first medal of the competition.

"Being able to dive in the Olympic pool for Tokyo 2020, it meant a lot to us to go out there and do a good performance," said Laugher.

"There were a load of nerves. We haven't competed together for over a year, so for us it was kind of scary, but I'm really happy we got a PB with a great performance and with our new dive list as well."

Toulson and Cheung's silver secured Team GB a birth in the discipline at this summer's Olympics.

The 2018 European champions were in seventh after the first two rounds, but took the lead in the penultimate round before being edged out by Canada.

Meaghan Benefeito and Caeli McKay scored a total of 305.94 points from five routines, ahead of Britain's 302.88 and Germany's 292.86.

The World Cup, which is also a test competition for the Tokyo Olympics, runs until Thursday.
