British National Diving Cup: Daniel Goodfellow and Grace Reid win gold in Edinburgh
Daniel Goodfellow and Grace Reid won gold on day two of the British National Diving Cup in Edinburgh.
Goodfellow won the men's 3m Springboard ahead of Tokyo 2020 synchro partner Jack Laugher, with Jordan Houlden third.
Reid led from start to finish to claim victory in the women's 1m Springboard.
Finnish diver Lauren Hallaselka, competing as a guest, finished second overall, with Tilly Brown and Maya Kutty winning silver and bronze.
"I'm really excited, training has been going great and I'm just loving where I'm at right now," said Edinburgh-born Reid.
"Loving the process of getting better each day and where my diving is at the moment is really exciting, so yes this is the first step of the Paris 2024 year, but it's an exciting step to be taking."
The men's 1m Springboard and women's 10m Platform events take place on the penultimate day of the competition on Saturday.
