Swindon Town have released four players from their squad.

Goalkeepers Phil Smith and Mark Scott will leave the County Ground along with defender Callum Kennedy and midfielder Lander Gabilondo.

Meanwhile, striker Billy Bodin and defender Nathan Thompson have been offered new deals to stay with the League Two champions.

Both players, who are products of the club's youth academy, have yet to commit to the contract offers.

Bodin, 20, was set to receive his first senior call-up to the Wales squad for their friendly with Mexico in New York next week but will instead stay with Crewe, where he has been on loan, in order to play in their play-off final against Cheltenham at Wembley.

Keeper Smith, 32, will leave Swindon after six years and 132 appearances.

He was first-choice between the posts last season but has struggled to get in the side under Paolo di Canio following the arrival of Wes Foderingham.

Kennedy, 22, played 23 games this term but failed to secure a consistent run in the side, while Scott, 22, departs the Robins without making a first-team appearance and Spaniard Gabilondo, 25, leaves after only one season.
