Yeovil Town 1-1 Coventry City
- Published
Coventry began life in League One with an entertaining draw at Yeovil.
In the first-ever meeting between the two sides, the Sky Blues got off to a fine start when Cody McDonald headed in John Fleck's cross.
Glovers defender Richard Hinds levelled the scores, heading in Ed Upson's corner, before McDonald wasted an excellent chance to score his second.
Byron Webster thought he had won it for the hosts late on, but his close-range effort was ruled out for handball.

Sky Blues manager Andy Thorn told 大象传媒 Coventry & Warwickshire:
"I think a point away from home is all right, but we had enough chances to seal the game.
"On another day we could have nicked it but, on the first day of the season we've blown away the cobwebs, and let's move on to Tuesday night.
"When we went 1-1 we didn't go under, and if anything we should have gone on to win the game. We created a lot of chances, and were due a penalty when Cody McDonald was brought down - a stonewall penalty.
"Apart from the goal, I was pretty much happy with the way we dealt with things, and on another day we would have won the game."
