Doncaster 2-1 Bury

Chris Brown's late winner sealed all three points for Doncaster Rovers against 10-man Bury.

The visitors took an early lead when full-back Joe Skarz stabbed the ball home at the near post.

Rovers deservedly equalised through Kyle Bennett's close-range effort after an impressive move by Brown.

Bury skipper Steven Schumacher recieved his marching orders for a second yellow card before Brown snatched the win by beating the offside trap and firing in.

"I thought we put ourselves in a tough situation, losing a goal from a corner.

"I knew this was going to be a tough game.

"Obviously the sending off has killed them a little bit.

"I'm just pleased really because at half time I said to them if we keep going then we'll get one."

Bury caretaker manager Peter Shirtliff told 大象传媒 Radio Manchester:

"It was a great performance and we deservedly went 1-0 up.

"There were a few skirmishes in our box because Doncaster upped their tempo, but then we had some good situations in their box as well.

"It was a bit of a sloppy goal that we conceded, but it was good play from them.

"We've just got to learn a few things when we're 1-0 up, like keeping possession of the ball a little bit better."
