Stevenage 1-1 Shrewsbury

Stevenage remain unbeaten in League One this season after coming from behind to draw with Shrewsbury Town.

Paul Parry opened the scoring for Town after five minutes when keeper Chris Day fumbled Matt Richards's free-kick.

Mark Roberts hit the Town post with an acrobatic effort before Darius Charles cut in from the wing to fire a leveller into the top corner.

Shrewsbury were the better team and could have won it when Mark Wright poked the ball onto the post.

"Their early goal against the run of play was certainly a body blow, but it got a good response.

"I think there is a little frustration from everybody after the game that the second period didn't quite reach the heights we all felt it should do, given there was an awful lot on the line.

"Probably our best moments were in that first half and unfortunately we didn't make the best of it.

"We've raised expectations. We have some wonderful individuals in this group, guys capable of making something happen out of nothing, but too many were off colour."
