Crewe 2-1 Hartlepool

  • Published

Crewe picked up their first win in seven matches at the expense of Hartlepool, who have now not tasted victory in seven attempts.

It was Pools who went ahead when substitute Evan Horwood chipped over Alan Martin 60 seconds after coming on for the injured Andy Monkhouse.

Mathias Pogba fired a penalty over for the hosts after Peter Hartley handled, but Chuks Aneke's curler levelled.

And Mark Ellis won it when he touched in Luke Murphy's free-kick.
