Spartak sign Ghana striker Waris
Russia's nine-time champions Spartak Moscow have signed Ghanaian international striker Majeed Waris from Swedish side Hacken.
Spartak said that Waris, 21, who had been linked to English Premier League sides Everton and Chelsea, has signed a 'long-term' deal.
No other details of the deal were disclosed.
"Spartak are a great club with big prospects," Waris was quoted as saying by Spartak's official website.
"The team caught my interest after I watched the game against Celtic. I
"I liked the team, it seemed that I can develop and express myself here."
Waris, who has won four caps for Ghana, was the Swedish league top scorer with 23 goals in 29 matches with Hacken last season.
