Exeter and Aldershot played out a 0-0 draw that helped neither side's cause at either end of League Two.

Debutant Asa Hall had the visitors' best chance when he hit the bar with a header after 24 minutes.

Jamie Cureton was put through five minutes later but Shots keeper Jamie Young was equal to it.

City had a shout for a penalty when a handball appeal was turned down 10 minutes after half time, while Oliver Risser had an 80th minute effort saved.

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told ����ý Radio Devon:

"It makes a nonsense of all the comments we had on Monday about not playing with an out-and-out striker when we had probably three times the shots on goal as Monday night.

"They were incredibly difficult conditions, against 11 very tough players, we played against a lot of supporters not believing in the side and you put all those things together.

"We tried to build something in the second half, we became more attacking the as the game went on.

"I'm delighted with the players, I would've liked to have won the game, but it's a point gained.

"I'm satified, not delighted with everything, but I'm satisfied

Aldershot Town manager Dean Holdsworth told ����ý Surrey:

"I'm really delighted with the point. I thought we were the better side and to come here and put them under the sort of pressure we did, was excellent.

"I thought that if we had scored the winning goal, I would have been delighted. I think that the players gave a good account of themselves today.

"This match was important. We are looking at the games coming up and this will give us great confidence for the rest of the season."
