Millwall came from behind to defeat Championship leaders Blackpool and climb from the foot of the table with their first league win of the season.

Thomas Ince drove Blackpool ahead early on but Liam Trotter equalised with a penalty after Isaiah Osbourne handled.

Nicky Bailey volleyed in from a Martyn Woolford corner to put the home side in front with 17 minutes left.

Steve Morison then raced on to a long ball and beat Matt Gilks to give the Lions a third home league win in 2013.

Millwall manager Steve Lomas was barracked after his team's 5-1 defeat by Derby at the weekend but the win over Paul Ince's men moved the London club up to 19th in the Championship.

The Seasiders, who have signed Stephen Dobbie on loan, slip to third on goal difference but they looked set to maintain their fine recent form when Thomas Ince thumped through a crowd of bodies for his third goal of the season.

In first-half added time, Osbourne handled in the area as Blackpool struggled to deal with a Martyn Waghorn free-kick and Trotter made no mistake from the spot.

The hosts were dominant after the interval and Bailey put them ahead with a fine finish at the far post from Waghorn's ball.

They doubled their advantage when Morison broke clear and beat Gilks with a firm shot.

Millwall manager Steve Lomas:

"It's very hard to say if it was a penalty. It hit his hand but whether it's intentional we don't know.

"But we've been on the end of some poor decisions so maybe we got the rub of the green - and I still think we're owed some as well.

"It's great for the chairman, he has taken some criticism for appointing me so I'm delighted for him and the players. He has this club at heart and wants it to do well."

Blackpool assistant manager Steve Thompson:

"We watched [the penalty award] at half-time and we feel a bad decision has gone against us, it was nowhere near his hand.

"It's a bad time to give away a penalty. They go in with tails up and we are deflated.

"In the second half they came out with fire in their belly and they deserved it while we looked leggy."
