Clint Hill reunited with former boss Neil Warnock when he joined QPR from Crystal Palace in 2010.

Captain Clint Hill has signed a new one-year deal at Queens Park Rangers.

Hill led QPR to promotion to the Premier League in the 1-0 play-off final win over Derby County in May.

The Huyton-born defender joined QPR on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in July 2010, and has made 150 appearances for the west London club.

"I was always hopeful that I'd get a new deal, so to get it sorted so soon is great," Hill, 35,

"I've enjoyed some great experiences at QPR over the last four years, I'm settled here, and I'm excited about being part of this club for another season."

Hill, who was out of contract this summer, accepts that he may not feature regularly for the club in the Premier League next season.

"Every year I always think it will be tough to keep my place in the side, and this season I've brought myself round to thinking that I won't play as much and new players will come in," he said.

"Maybe I'll need to take on a different role this season. The most important thing is the club and how that progresses. I want to take a keen interest in that."
