Ronnie Moore's last managerial post came at Hartlepool in League Two

National League club Eastleigh have appointed former Hartlepool and Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore as manager after parting company with Chris Todd.

Moore, who left Hartlepool by mutual consent in February, has been appointed on an initial two-year contract.

"I'm absolutely delighted, I couldn't ask to be going to a better club," Moore told 大象传媒 Radio Solent.

The 63-year-old has also previously managed Rotherham and Oldham, and won two promotions with the Millers.

"I know a lot of the players at Eastleigh from previous clubs, so I'm looking forward to the challenge," he added.

"Hopefully, we can go on and get what the club deserves and that's promotion to the Football League.

"The chairman is so enthusiastic about what he wants for the club. His energy and enthusiasm - it straightaway made him a guy I can work for."

Eastleigh chairman Stewart Donald said: "Ronnie brings with him a huge amount of experience and knowledge.

"The passion and commitment that has been clearly evident during our conversations made him the natural choice."

Moore will watch Eastleigh's National League at Wrexham on Saturday from the stands, with midfielder Ben Strevens taking charge on the touchline.
