Liverpool striker Rinsola Babajide hit her first hat-trick for the club as the Reds won at home against Bristol City.

The England Under-20 international scored twice before the break, either side of Dutch international Danique Kerkdijk's long-range effort for City.

Babajide put her side back in front before Yana Daniels headed home Laura Coombs' cross for a 3-1 half-time lead.

She completed her treble before Niamh Fahey's own goal made it 4-2 but Ashley Hodson had the final word with a fifth.

Babajide started things off on 11 minutes at Prenton Park when she intercepted an awful pass across the box before running on to fire home left-footed.

Kerkdijk's cross-cum-shot levelled on 35 minutes but the Reds struck twice in quick succession before the break when Babajide struck again from Leighanne Robe's cross before Daniels nodded in the third just four minutes later.

After Babajide's left-footed third on 65 minutes, the luckless Fahey put through her own net in a goalmouth scramble.

But, just 13 minutes after coming on, substitute Hodson rounded off the scoring a minute into added time.

Eighth-placed Liverpool are now within a point of seventh-placed West Ham, while Bristol City stay sixth.
