Chesterfield 2-2 Barrow
- Published
Winless Chesterfield's miserable start to the season continued despite coming from two goals down to rescue a 2-2 draw against Barrow.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a superb long-range strike from former Chesterfield striker Bradley Barry and they doubled their lead six minutes later when top scorer Scott Quigley fired home from a neatly-worked corner.
However, the Spireites were offered a lifeline just before the break when Jermaine McGlashan was brought down in the penalty area and Scott Boden calmly converted from the spot.
Chesterfield pushed for an equaliser early in the second period and Barrow keeper Joel Dixon was called into action in the 56th minute to deny Mike Fondop-Talom from close range.
Fondop-Talom continued to cause Barrow problems and deservedly levelled with a pinpoint header in the 80th minute to notch his third goal in two games and ensure his side a point.
