Partick Thistle and Queen of the South remain without a victory in 2020 after the Scottish Championship's bottom two fought out a goalless draw at Firhill.
Neither side's relegation woes were eased, with Thistle still three adrift.
Both hit the frame of the goal after the break through Reece Cole and Darren Brownlie respectively.
And the hosts thought they had a late penalty when Dario Zanatta was pulled down, only for David Lowe to change his mind after speaking to his assistant.
Prior to that, the visitors had the better first-half chances, with Gary Oliver, Stephen Dobbie and Kevin Holt all denied.
But Thistle threatened in the second, with Zak Rudden twice going close and Brian Graham having a shot saved.
Queen of the South manager Allan Johnston: The boys worked incredibly hard tonight, there wasn't much between the teams.
"We played and defended a lot better than we have been recently. Thankfully the penalty decision went our way.
Partick Thistle manager Ian McCall: I'm gutted with the result. We had five, six or seven chances to win the game and we never took them, and a penalty that was given then wasn't given which you rarely see."
