Leyton Orient 2-1 Cambridge United

Leyton Orient extended their unbeaten home run to seven matches with a 2-1 win over Cambridge.

Jordan Maguire-Drew and Danny Johnson were on the scoresheet for the O's, with Paul Mullin pulling a goal back for the visitors.

Maguire-Drew opened the scoring after 17 minutes with an angled shot into the far corner.

Orient doubled their advantage in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage-time when U's goalkeeper Callum Burton failed to hold a powerful shot from James Dayton and Johnson pounced on the loose ball to stab home from close range.

The visitors' best chance before the break came when Mullin saw his header from a Harrison Dunk cross hit a post before being scrambled clear.

Although the hosts dictated the early exchanges after the break, Cambridge were given a lifeline after 63 minutes when Mullin's left-foot shot went in off the inside of the far post.

Orient were indebted to keeper Lawrence Vigouroux, who preserved all three points in time added on when he tipped a superb drive from substitute Jack Roles over the crossbar.
