Aberystwyth Town: Club legend Gavin Allen steps down as manager

Gavin Allen scored 53 League goals in two seasons during his first spell at the club
Gavin Allen has stepped down as manager of Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town.
Previously the club's assistant manager, Allen took over the reins after being admitted onto the FAW Trust's UEFA Pro Licence course.
Aberystwyth confirmed Allen will remain head of academy at the club after stepping away from first-team duties.
Assistant manager Antonio Corbisiero will now take charge, starting with Tuesday's game at home against Newtown.
In a statement on the club website, chairman Donald Kane said: "Aberystwyth Town board of directors have accepted Gavin's offer to step aside this morning.
"We sincerely appreciate Gavin's hard work and commitment to the first team as assistant manager and manager over the past two years.
"Gavin was dealt an extremely difficult hand this season, the Covid-19 pandemic severely affected pre-season and the season has been stop-start since September.
"Due to fixture rearrangements the first team had to play the top three [teams] five times in seven games, which has also had an impact on results and confidence."
Allen first joined Aberystwyth as a player in 1996 after his release from Tranmere Rovers. He went on to score 113 goals in 238 appearances during three spells with the club over a nine-year period.
The former Wales Under-21 international he also played for Bangor City, Barry Town and Carmarthen Town.
Corbisiero, 36, is a former Swansea City and Newport player.
