Newly-promoted Raith Rovers made it two wins from two and climbed top of the Scottish Championship with a demolition of Queen of the South at Palmerston.

The visitors led in just two minutes through Ross Matthews, with Stephen Dobbie replying from the penalty spot after Regan Tumilty felled Euan East.

Raith roared back with a Manny Duku header and Dam Armstrong strike.

Ayo Obileye reduced the deficit to one after half-time, but Dylan Tait and Duku's second secured a thrilling win.

It takes John McGlynn's men above Hearts and Dunfermline Athletic on goal difference.

Queens - still without manager Allan Johnston and his coaching staff as they self-isolate - have yet to pick up a point.

Queens' stand-in coach Willie Gibson: "We were poor, conceded early and were second best all over the park and we got punished. To concede seven in two games is alarming."

Raith assistant Paul Smith: "We've got a lot of pace in the team and that's eight goals in two games so we are absolutely delighted."
