A Charlie Adam-inspired Dundee scored twice in the last 14 minutes to claim a Scottish Championship point at Alloa.

Peter Grant's side led through Robert Thomson's goal, only for Declan McDaid to haul Dundee level.

Alloa looked set to claim their first league win of the campaign when Alan Trouten struck twice after the break.

However, an Adam free-kick struck an upright before cannoning in off Cammy Kerr and the former Scotland midfielder rammed in a penalty to earn a draw.

The draw means Dundee move four behind leaders Dunfermline Athletic, having played four games to the Fifers' three.

Alloa, meanwhile, edge a point clear of bottom spot.
