Falkirk have confirmed two of their players have tested positive for Covid-19 just two days before their Scottish League Cup tie with Rangers.

The League One side said in a the unnamed players will now self isolate.

However, they have confirmed nobody else at the club has been identified as a close contact.

Falkirk host the Scottish Premiership on Sunday at 17:00 GMT.

Meanwhile, Clyde's game at East Fife on Saturday has been postponed due to four visiting players testing positive for Covid-19.

The quartet are self-isolating, with the SPFL adding: "Clyde have informed the SPFL that, due to four players testing positive for Covid-19 and several other players self-isolating, they have insufficient players to fulfil the fixture.

"As a result, and in line with standard procedure, the SPFL has postponed the fixture pending an investigation into the circumstances leading to the postponement."

It comes after Cowdenbeath v Albion Rovers was cancelled last week as the visitors could not field a full team.

Rovers and Forfar Athletic each forfeited a League Cup tie.
