Queen of the South leapfrogged Dundee into the Scottish Championship play-off spots after consigning James McPake's men to successive league defeats.

Ayo Obileye's early penalty opened the scoring before Rhys Breen doubled the visitors' lead before the break.

Jason Cummings' first Dundee goal pulled one back, but Willie Gibson's stunner restored Queens' two-goal advantage.

Jordan Marshall's header reduced the deficit again, but it came too late.
