Shrewsbury 1-0 MK Dons: Two spectators ejected for alleged racist gestures

Shrewsbury Town say they are "deeply appalled" after having to eject two spectators for alleged racist gestures during their 1-0 win over MK Dons at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
In the club called the alleged offences "disgusting", adding they are conducting a full investigation with West Mercia Police and will hand life bans to anyone found guilty.
On the field, Shaun Whalley's second-half strike ended Shrewsbury's three-game losing streak.
The forward struck the only goal of the game on 56 minutes to ease the pressure on boss Steve Cotterill and lift the hosts up to 21st in League One.
Visiting midfielder Matt O'Riley saw a rasping volley deflected over as the Dons dominated the opening stages.
Sam Cosgrove had a tame effort saved by Dons goalkeeper Andrew Fisher before the visitors carved out the best chance of the half, with Marko Marosi denying Mo Eisa from close range.
After a first-half short on goalmouth action, Shrewsbury put on Ryan Bowman at half-time, just a week on from the striker being hospitalised overnight in Ipswich after suffering heart palpitations.
Within 11 minutes of the restart, having threatened with one early second-half effort, Whalley then found the roof of the net after springing the offside trap.
Peter Kioso missed a golden chance to level for the Dons late on as they slipped to a second defeat straight league defeat.
