Grimsby Town 0-1 Notts County

Ruben Rodrigues scored a stoppage-time winner as Notts County secured a narrow victory at Grimsby.

Following their surprise defeat at Wealdstone on Tuesday night, Town were after a fast start and came within inches of scoring when Lenell John-Lewis' curling effort struck the crossbar after 28 minutes.

After a goalless first half, the Magpies grew in confidence as the second half wore on.

They made the breakthrough in the first of three added minutes when Matt Palmer's cross was parried by goalkeeper James McKeown and Rodrigues followed up from 12 yards.

Grimsby's first defeat at Blundell Park this season knocked them off the National League summit, replaced by Boreham Wood, while County moved up to sixth.
