Welsh Cup: Colwyn Bay face The New Saints in semi-finals
Colwyn Bay's reward for beating Connah's Quay Nomads in the Welsh Cup quarter-finals is a semi-final against holders The New Saints.
The Cymru North side were 2-0 winners at Deeside, with second half goals from Ryan Edwards and James Kirby.
The other semi-final sees Penybont take on Bala Town for a place in the final.
Both ties will be played at a neutral venue, with the matches taking place on the weekend beginning 19th March.
Former Wales defender Steve Evans, who won multiple league titles and cups as a player and then assistant manager with TNS, was appointed Colwyn Bay's manager last month.
He said their quarter-final result was "nothing that we didn't deserve".
"They had a lot of the ball, but they haven't really caused us that many problems," Evans told 大象传媒 Sport Wales.
"Everybody in the squad, the starting 11, the subs, the lads who weren't in the squad, did fantastic, and to do it in front of all those fans was pretty special."
The cup loss is a further blow to the Nomads who are well off the pace to defend their league title, and with the threat of an 18-point deduction hanging over them, the Welsh Cup was their best route into Europe next season.
