Cymru Premier: Jamie Reed appointed Airbus UK manager
Cymru Premier strugglers Airbus UK have named Jamie Reed as their new manager.
Reed, who started at Wrexham, played for clubs including Aberystwyth, Bangor City, TNS, Llandudno, Rhyl and Cefn Druids.
He also played in the National League with York City and Chester.
"I'm really looking forward to the challenge and I'm looking to bring the whole club together to move forward," he said.
The Flintshire-based club, who parted company with previous manager Steve O'Shaughnessy in September, are bottom of the Cymru Premier after they were promoted last season.
The side are yet to win in the league this season and suffered a further blow when they were deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player in a game against Caernarfon.
"Jamie is an ambitious, young manager keen to prove his talent," Airbus general manager Jonathan Williams said.
"He has a wealth of playing experience and is very knowledgeable of the Welsh Leagues.
"We wish him all the success at our football club and look forward to supporting him in his new role."
Airbus are away to Flintshire rivals Flint Town United on Saturday and Reed said: "We are obviously in a precarious position at the moment but worrying about what has happened so far and things we can't change won't help anyone.
"I'm keen to bring a positive approach that will hopefully give us the best possible chance of competing in this league."
