Yeovil Town: Prospective buyers SU Glovers say takeover 'wasn't to be'

Yeovil Town's proposed takeover looks to be in doubt after prospective buyer Matt Uggla said a deal for the relegated club "wasn't to be".
Uggla is a director of SU Glovers, who said that they had taken stewardship of the club in March.
Yeovil were relegated to the National League South after their defeat by Wrexham last month.
The club has yet to comment on the social media posts.
"We really tried our best to get this deal done but it wasn't to be," .
"Just want to thank all the fans who stood by us through this whole process and were so kind and welcoming.
"We wish you guys all the best and we will definitely watch from afar and wish the club success. Glovers for life."
The news came on the same day that the club confirmed that staff at Yeovil had now been paid after there was a delay to their wages at the end of April.
A said they wanted to thank staff members "for their patience and understanding throughout this difficult period".
Takeover stalled
SU Glovers said in March that they were "in charge" at Yeovil and were "making all the decisions".
The deal was meant to see current owner and chairman Scott Priestnall leave. He has been a controversial figure since taking over in 2019 following their drop to the National League.
However, almost two months after the SU Glovers statement, the deal was still to be completed with Yeovil's poor form on the pitch then seeing them relegated to the sixth tier and regional football next season.
