Forest Green Rovers head coach David Horseman says his team have to start "producing" and "putting chances away" after a 2-0 loss at home to Barrow.

Tuesday's League Two defeat was Forest Green's 10th of the season and seventh at home out of eight games.

It came 10 days after their 5-0 win against Colchester United and means Forest Green drop back into the bottom two in the table.

They next face 12th-placed Crawley at home on Saturday.

"We have the potential in the room to definitely get back-to-back wins," Horseman told 大象传媒 Radio Gloucestershire.

"But we've been saying it now we're 14, 15 games in and we have to start producing and it is literally just putting our chances away."

Forest Green had 17 shots during the game against Barrow, with seven on target, yet conceded two goals within the first 18 minutes.

Barrow keeper Paul Farman then made a number of saves to deny the home side including Troy Deeney in a one-on-one inside the box.

"I would be really worried if we weren't creating chances but we're creating endless amounts and not just chances - we're not shooting from outside the box and hitting the crossbar like their one - we're six yards out nine times," Horseman added.

"I think when you create them there's still the belief you can turn that around.

"The results are poor but some of the performances are not bad."

Horseman was appointed in July and said he understands fans' frustrations at the club's results. The 39-year-old insisted the mood in the dressing room was good.

"We have what we have and we understand where we're going. Hopefully they stick with it and keep going because we'll certainly keep doing that," he added.
