Newport County 1-1 Eastleigh: Chris Maguire penalty earns National League side FA Cup replay
Chris Maguire's late penalty earned National League side Eastleigh an FA Cup third round replay with League Two side Newport County.
James Clarke fired Newport ahead on 56 minutes after George Langston had been sent off for the Spitfires before half time.
But Maguire scored from the penalty spot after Clarke brought down Paul McCallum to earn Eastleigh a draw
The two teams will meet in a replay at Silverlake Stadium later this month.
Newport boss Graham Coughlan had "mixed emotions" about the game.
He added: "I thought we played really, really well. I thought we were the dominant team and moved the ball well. We got into really good positions. They went down to 10 men so the stats might fall in our favour.
"But before that, I thought we were good as well. We created a number of chances that we just didn't finish. Unfortunately, we're coming away from a game of football yet again, and we're going to be talking about a ridiculous decision.
"But hey-ho, I thought Eastleigh were very good."
