Salford City 3-1 Wrexham: Karl Robinson's side extend unbeaten run to five games
Salford City extended their unbeaten run under Karl Robinson to five matches with a 3-1 victory over promotion-chasing Wrexham.
Ex-Dragons defender Theo Vassell headed the hosts in front early on before Elliot Watt doubled Salford's lead directly from a corner.
Sam Dalby nodded beyond Alex Cairns just before half time to make it 2-1, but Matt Smith struck on 56 minutes as Salford clinched all three points.
Salford stay 19th while Wrexham drop to fourth in League Two.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson:
"We've given two goals away from corners which is ridiculous really, we gave ourselves a mountain to climb against a team on a good run.
"We got one back, but the third one, we're not strong enough in our box again, so very disappointing.
"We have to find a way on our travels - when the pitch isn't great or teams play in a certain way - to come through these games with points because we've come out second best today in important areas of the game."
