Gillingham 1-0 Wrexham: Timothee Dieng strike boosts Gils' play-off hopes
Timothee Dieng's winner sent Gillingham into the League Two play-off places and pushed Wrexham out of the automatic promotions spots.
Home goalkeeper Glenn Morris denied Jacob Mendy in the early stages.
But there was no stopping Dieng at the other end as he broke the deadlock after the break from a set piece.
Morris also kept Steven Fletcher's bicycle kick at bay and Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson made a glut of changes as he sought an equaliser in vain.
Gillingham ended the afternoon seventh while Wrexham dropped from third to fourth.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson told 大象传媒 Sport Wales:
"It's another game where we've had so much good possession in good areas and haven't produced, we need to rediscover that killer instinct.
"We did a lot of good things but that clinical edge we need to rediscover, it's about making the right decisions. We're passing when we should shoot and shooting when we should pass.
"It got a bit scrappy towards the end but we had enough situations to score two or three today."
