Ian Evatt: Bolton boss has red card overturned amid Mendes Gomes blow

Carlos Mendes Gomes has played 16 league games for Bolton, scoring two goals
Bolton Wanderers manager Ian Evatt has had his red card from the League One game at Northampton Town overturned.
Evatt was sent off at half-time during the match on 10 February, and it was alleged that he had acted in an improper manner and used abusive words towards a match official.
He appealed and with the case unproven he will face no further action.
However, forward Carlos Mendes Gomes will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The Guinea-Bissau international went off in the first half of Tuesday's 1-0 defeat by Wigan Athletic.
The extent of the injury has now been confirmed and will keep the 25-year-old sidelined for between six and nine months.
"An Achilles tendon rupture is an awful injury and takes a really long time to recover," Evatt told the .
"I feel really sorry for Carlos. He's an incredible person and we were starting to see the best of him as a player as well."
With his potential ban overturned, Evatt will be on the touchline for Bolton's match at home to Cambridge United this Saturday.
They remain third in the table despite suffering successive away defeats.
