FC Halifax Town v Ebbsfleet United called off 50 minutes before kick-off

The National League game between FC Halifax Town and Ebbsfleet United was postponed 50 minutes before kick-off because of a waterlogged pitch.

A "precautionary inspection" was held at The Shay at 11:00 GMT, with a second inspection not held until 14:00 as the referee was delayed by M62 closures.

Halifax most of whom had travelled from Kent.

"We appreciate the huge effort to those who have travelled either today or yesterday,"

Before Saturday's games Halifax were sixth in the table, in the play-offs by two points, with Ebbsfleet 15th and four points above the drop zone.
