Guernsey FC suffer another home defeat

Guernsey FC's winless run was extended to seven games as they lost 2-1 at home to Hayes and Yeading United at Footes Lane.
Ross Allen - looking for a 300th goal for the Green Lions - hit the post after seven minutes before Owen Wallbridge gave the islanders a 31st-minute lead as he curled in a superb effort from 30 yards.
But 11 minutes later Jacques Cauvin was penalised for foul in the area and Adrian Clifton scored the resulting spot-kick.
Hayes took the lead seven minutes after the break when a clearance ricocheted off Thomas Dodds for an own goal.
Matt Loaring - making his 400th Guernsey appearance - almost set up Sam Murray for an equaliser just after the hour mark, but the home striker fired wide of the target.
The loss was a 15th home game without a win for Guernsey - a record stretching back to January.
The loss leaves Tony Vance's side second-from-bottom of Isthmian League South Central with six points from 13 games.
