Truro City have signed of goalkeeper Dan Lavercombe on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old has joined from Taunton Town, having made 39 appearances last season and kept 12 clean sheets.

Lavercombe made his name at Torquay United, where he came up through the youth ranks before going on to join Wigan Athletic.

He has also had spells at Welsh side Rhyl and FC United of Manchester.

Lavercombe has been signed after James Hamon left the club to join Torquay last month.

鈥淟ast year, with all that Truro had to contend with at the back end of the season, they did really well to stay in the league and I am confident that we build on that," Lavercombe told the cub website.

鈥淔rom my experience of playing in this league before, there is nobody that we should be scared of.

"With a good side and a good group of lads, there is no limit on how well you can do."
