Crystal Palace have signed Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada on a two-year deal, while former Tottenham winger Ryan Sessegnon is training with the club.

Kamada, 27, joins from Italian club Lazio on a free transfer after a year in Serie A.

Sessegnon, 24, left Spurs after five years when his contract expired and he is training at Palace with a view to signing as a free agent.

Kamada's move to Palace sees him reunite with his former manager Oliver Glasner.

Glasner coached Kamada when he was in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt and the pair won the Europa League together in 2021.

"I am looking forward to testing myself in the Premier League, and hopefully the club and I can achieve all of our objectives together," said Kamada.

He scored 40 goals and recorded 33 assists in 179 appearances in Frankfurt before moving to Lazio.

Kamada has 33 caps for Japan, including four appearances at the 2022 World Cup.

鈥淒aichi is a truly exceptional talent," said Palace chairman Steve Parish.

"He has been one of Europe鈥檚 best attacking midfielders in recent seasons and his experience, technical quality and commitment mark him out as an excellent addition to our already talented squad."
