Swindon sign ex-Chesterfield defender King
League Two side Swindon Town have signed former Chesterfield defender Jeff King following a successful trial.
The 28-year-old made more than 100 appearances for the Spireites across three seasons, scoring 13 goals, after joining them from FC Halifax Town in 2021.
King, who played 19 league games last term as Chesterfield cruised to the National League title, has spent the majority of his career in non-league football.
"I feel like I've got a bit more to give, I've worked really hard to get to where I am today and I'm really hoping I can do it with Swindon," he
Swindon have not disclosed the length of King's contract.
He could face a quickfire reunion with his former club as the Robins visit Chesterfield in Friday's League Two opener.
