Forward Sion Bradley says The New Saints will “give it a good go” when they face Hungary’s Ferencvaros in Champions League qualifying.

Cymru Premier champions Saints secured their place in the second qualifying round with a 4-1 win over FK Decic of Montenegro.

Craig Harrison’s side go to Budapest for Tuesday’s first leg against the Hungarian champions.

“It will be a challenge against them,” Bradley said.

“We know that three of their players played for Hungary in the Euros.

“I’m sure we will all do our homework and we’ll prepare as best we can for the game and give it a good go.”

The winners of the TNS-Ferencvaros tie will face either Andorra's UE Santa Coloma or Danish side FC Midtjylland in the third qualifying round.

Ferencvaros goalkeeper Dénes Dibusz, defender Endre Botka and striker Barnabás Varga were members of Hungary’s squad at Euro 2024.

Varga fractured his cheekbone in a collision with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn during Hungary’s 1-0 win in Stuttgart.

The 29-year-old had successful surgery and after being discharged from hospital returned home to Hungary.

Varga has said he is set for "a few weeks of rest" to “focus on his recovery”.

Saints advanced to the second qualifying round after overcoming Decic – winning 3-0 in the first leg at Park Hall before a 1-1 draw out in Montenegro.

“We knew it was going to be a different game out there and it was really hot,” Bradley added.

“It was around 40 degrees out there in the afternoon and still around 30 at night for the game.

“But we made sure we saw the game out. We got that early goal and it was just a matter of defending the box and just get ourselves through to that next round.”

Bradley joined Saints in the summer from Caernarfon Town following a campaign in which he won the Cymru Premier player of the season of the award and scored the winning goal for Wales C against England.

The 26-year-old has made the step up to full-time football with Saints, the Cymru Premier’s only fully professional club.

“I’m enjoying it,” Bradley told ����ý Radio Cymru programme Ar y Marc.

“To go out and play football every day is totally different to what I’m used to.

“But I’m really enjoying it and really settling in well.”
