Truro City manager John Askey says he is "really pleased" with new signing Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain after his side claimed a 1-1 draw against Salisbury on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old defender joined the club on loan in August and also played a role in Truro City's 2-1 win against Maidstone United on Saturday, scoring the opening goal.

"He's done really well, Christian," Askey told 大象传媒 Radio Cornwall.

"He played a slightly different position, he played the right-side of the three, and provided us that pace at that back."

The Tinners, who changed their crest and nickname before this season, led from the opening minute of the game after a half-volley from Ryan Law but conceded a penalty in the second half after a foul on Sailsbury forward Craig Fasanmade.

Salisbury goalkeeper David Aziaya was called into action twice during six minutes of added time but City were unable to capitalise on the building pressure with a winner.
