Grimsby sign Brighton winger Barrington on loan

Grimsby Town have signed winger Luca Barrington from Brighton & Hove Albion on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old has yet to play a first-team game for Brighton, but has made seven appearances for their Under-21 side in the EFL Trophy.

The Mariners finished 21st in League Two last season and will start the 2024-25 campaign with an away game against Fleetwood on Saturday.

"We鈥檙e excited to have Luca 鈥 he鈥檚 an excellent, technical player who鈥檚 going to provide us with something a bit different," said head coach David Artell.

"He鈥檚 a versatile forward who can play off both flanks and likes to get in behind the opposition."

Barrington is Grimsby's eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
